Complexity Caused by Code Volume
The programmer must start with the assumption that the ordering specified is significant, and then by further inspection, determine that it is not. It's an extra cognitive burden that we're given to the user. And so that's why they're calling it complexity. Complexity caused by code volume. We believe that with the effective management of the two major complexity causes, state and control, it becomes far less clear that complexity increases in a non-linear way.
