Is There a Recipe for Increasing Supply at the Affordable Housing Level?
In all of the 19 nineties, we built 21 thousand units in manhattan. And they're all high priced. The idea that markets are going to solve this is a little i think it's naive low income level. We can go into the business of funding development more directly and actually owning properties. I'm less supportive of vouchers, subsidies, credits to renters or home buyers. They're just a transfer of public money to landlords.
