Motivation and Systems Beat Motivation

I've found that motivation tends to be fleeting. We start out very motivated, and then over time we get less motivated. But if you can make it into a proper system that you do every day, like you're doing, then you tend to be successful. When did you decide you were done with Spanish and you pivoted to Japanese? What's the story there?
