There has been progress in certain areas, such as onscreen representation. But ethnic communities are still portrayed as places where they is infested with drugs and gangsters. The sainsbury's advert of last year was so powerful because it said that black people can actually have fun. And you know what? They don’t need white people to do that. That doesn't mean white people necessarily stop them having nice lives, or that they couldn't. You rarely see a functioning family that is not in need of rescuing from themselves. So i think that's the next am diversity battlefield,. which is why, in a funny way, i'm an oknow."
