The Battle of Saint Albans - What Is the Main Result of the Battle?
Yorke's motivations in this battle are different from what you might think. Dickon, we have a victory for york in the battle of saint albans in 14 55. But at this stage, richard, duke of york is still loyal to henry the sixth. He is actually conspicuously loyal throughout he says that henry is his king. The sons of those killed then had an even larger grudge against the yorkists. And although there is a period of peace in 14 59, the wars really kick off in earnest.
