The Importance of Meekness

I think here of the thing that Jesus did right before He died. In the moment leading up to His death, he gets down in His hands and knees and watches their feet. Because of that posture of humility, God exalted Him. And it's a pattern that Jesus is talking about here. When you humble yourself and you take the second place, not because you're powerless, but because you choose to use your power that way, God begins to exalt you. It's why we always say around here, you can't out give God.
