Is There Such a Thing as a Woman Writer?
James Joyce's father was a total character and I kind of love him and hate him. He wasn't, he wasn't, you might not call him a good man ultimately. But he was an interesting guy and James, James loved him. In the early stories and double nerves, the sisters and Arabic, he is considered, considerably disguised as an uncle. And the later stories besides contributing to Farrington, he is also in Henshee, Heinz, Kernan and Gabriel Conroy. It's much like Sarah Kane in that episode. There's the letter where she talks about how she, there is no such thing as a woman writer. Yeah.
