Is There a Meaninglessness in a Consumer Society?
i think there's a fundamental meaninglessness in a consumer society that says the only way that you can really express self is through your consumption. There's no such thing as community like it used to exist. And i think a lot of people on the right experience that meaninglessness, that shallowness of their existence. I almost want civil war because at least that would give me some sense of meaning. But especially like these well suburban white guys that, a lena, have beer bellies and drive big ash trucks,. They still have this inner urge to pick up the gun - even if they don't actually do it., he said.
