Tim Stanley: I'm very grateful that those ideas came my way, that they landed on me. They just became what captivates me. There was always this sort of divided self around. The church is saying this, but that's telling me to shed my skin. That was the story that was being told by the peacemakers. But the louder story in our society was one of the sides has to win and the only way to win is to defeat the other. We need to take them very seriously because they are a matter of life and death.
