Trey: From a dollar perspective, it seems like you would get a better return with real estate because you can use debt to buy real estate. Most of the time there's a recession, the stock market declines shortly thereafter. But what's interesting about the stock market is that most recessions only last about a year. Three of the 11 recessions since 1950 went on for more than one year.
