Delacroix Island
Delacroix Island used to have hundreds of residents living off the estuary's famous riches. Now there are maybe 25 or 30 people who live on the island. The US imported way more shrimp than we can even eat last year, and it's decimating local shrimpers' profits. "We're going to all get a point until there's no more point to argue," one man says.
