Antitrust Law - The Only Time That We Should Ever Penalize a Monopolist

40 years ago, there was this guy who's kind of the court sorcerer at a Ronald Reagan. Robert Bork argued in a book called the antitrust paradox that if you looked really hard at what the legislators who created America's landmark antitrust laws said, they actually love monopolies. The only time that we should ever punish a monopolist is when they're a bad monopolist and raise prices on consumers very shortly after creating or maintaining a monopoly. Only in those cases should antitrust law be enforced. And 40 years later, we stopped enforcing antitrust law. We got monopolies everywhere. It's not actually like very hard.
