The Disadvantages of Rejecting Democracy

When you talk about rejecting democracy, it's really about who's making the decision or like who's voting, not about whether people vote. So we find that most voters are deeply misinformed, ignorant, or even irrational. And it's because there's nothing that prevents them from doing that. An epistocratic system tries to split the difference by selecting a subgroup of all the voters and finding those that are somewhat higher information.
