The Shangri-La Dialogue: An Important Element of Defense Diplomatic Activity
Bastion: A number of statements of intent and the random of understandings were signed. There's a statement of intent between New Zealand and Japan on defense cooperation. Singapore and Japan also signed an agreement concerning the transfer of defense equipment and technology. So this is, you know, it's just an element of thickening the thread around these bilateral defense related agreements that are perhaps not quite as dramatic as reciprocal access agreements in the past or more recently.
