The Soul of Buster

The soul is the being or activity of that very living body. It's inseparable from the functioning parts in their life activity. So there's a sense in which it's true that the best picture of Buster's soul is his living body, taken as a whole. And so Aristotle thinks that what gives unity to that development, that growing up of an animal or even of a plant is its soul.
