The Life and Times of Young Toribio
Toribio was the first priest ever to come from the village of Santa Ana, so he was a source of special pride for the local people. He ended up having five pastoral assignments in his five years of priesthood. All of them were in his home state of Jalisco, and they weren't all happy. The pastor forbade Toribio from going out in public, from praying the rosary in public, and from saying mass in public.
