Is This Not for Me?

For the longest time I had this sort of like snobbish aesthetic disdain for hashtags. That's that they don't reflect how we talk. They're just kind of weird and silly, even if they are really useful. And then a friend of mine was like, why don't you think about putting some hashtags on your profile on your Instagram stuff? And I was like, oh crap, maybe there's something there.And so I started paying more attention to them. Eventually I was using hashtags to look for products and services that I was looking for. So that thought that this is not for me prevented me from learning that lesson so much earlier.
