Meanwhile, Maureen is left at home, not knowing what's been going on. But slowly she comes to realize it's a journey that he's making. Through flashbacks, you see their life together, and they had a son. The son was very clever but couldn't get into Cambridge. We kind of have sympathy for both Harold and Jim Broadbent here.
