The Challenges of Reading the New Testament

The New Testament is part of a story. It's about what God has done in the world through Christ, in the Spirit. And lo and behold, some of the challenges they faced are very similar to the challenges we face. I grew up thinking the kingdom of God meant going to heaven when you die. We all have to realize that Jesus taught us to pray thy kingdom on earth as in heaven. it's not science, but my goodness, it's a massive shift of perspective.
