Antibody Screening for Transusion Reactions

An antibody screen is another important component of taking that initial test to figure out how we're going to transvis a patient. We do this on everyone regardless of whether they have a known history of transusion. It's a really big deal if the patient gets blood that isn't compatible with their antibody milieu. And just a sort of variety of different minor antigens expressed on this blood and sees, you know, is there some kind of reaction? Is there antibody coding these cells after the serum is mixed?
