Rishi Cenak's personal poll ratings were really high after Covid. Boris Johnson had appointed him chancellor just before the pandemic. And he wasn't someone people were familiar with. So at the moment when he started to cut that money back, whether it was winding down furlough or reversing the increase to universal credit, his poll rating started to fall.
