Big League Advantage pays minor league baseball players in exchange for a percentage of their future MLB earnings. Players are only required to pay back the money if they make it to the major leagues. Only about 100 of those, so call it 20%, have made it to the majors. Big League Advantage runs on a business model that is more like a venture capital firm than a traditional bank.
