If we apply the right to self-determination all the way down, then effectively what we have is what the anarcho capitalist want. And I hear one very interesting idea which may not be that popular in libertarian circles but I think it deserves a lot more study in scrutiny. Prince Hans Adam of Liechtenstein presents a very interesting conception of the role of the state in the Third Millennium. He makes a compelling case for why perhaps this is the role of princely and royal families in the 21st century.
