'Infinite Scroll'

Twitter's infinite scroll was the technological equivalent of removing clocks and windows from a casino. It removed signals that helped people stop, made them forget time. The first thing brit worked on at twitter was creating what is now known as the like button. Asa went through what he calls his long dark night of the soul. In part, they felt distressed about the future because their dream of a faster, more connected world had produced some alarming outcomes. But also, like david and roger, they felt increasingly anxious about the natural world.
