I get the impression that something like air conditioning is not availableYeah and so they had to sleep on deck they had to strip down to the bare minimum of clothing even inEven in the Mediterranean where there's a memorable piece in the book where a destroyer comes alongside HMS Waspite expected to see the battleship the Mediterranean fleet flagship with everybody in smart uniforms.
