Changing the Police, It's a Load
The murder of george floyd remains a huge blow the already strained relationship between black people and the police. Daniel santos grew up keeping cops at arm's length, but she did have thoughts about becoming one herself. We'll see what challenges there are once a black candidate actually becomes a cop. And we'll ask some bigger questions about whether charley's plan to get more black candidates on the force, or black officers in positions of power, actually makes the police better.
