Shane: I like inflection points because it seems like whatever happened at Wharton, or no, sorry, it was Penn, and then you transferred into Wharton. Shane: My trajectory going into Penn and your trajectory leaving were two very different paths. You know, I had three teachers through high school that saw something in me that I didn't see. And they basically figured out a way to show me that if I could find what I was studying interesting, and I could make it interesting, then I could apply that same hyper-focus to things that weren't that interesting to me.

Jason Karp was living what he thought was a successful life in his 20s. He graduated near the top of his class from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and was well on his way to becoming a successful hedge fund manager. But when he noticed a series of health issues cropping up - including the frightening diagnosis that he would go blind by the age of 30 - he made a series of life-altering decisions focused on his health and wellness.
