The Continuum of Foundations of Physics
There are all sorts of questions at the conceptual foundations of physics where foundations there just means exactly what you what you think it means. The distinction between doing a more scientific kind of work and a more philosophical kind of work began to dissolve in all sorts of ways that I thought of as interesting and fruitful. With discussions of the foundations of quantum mechanics over the past 50 years or so, especially around the measurement problem, one of the important achievements has been the understanding that this is going to require modification of our fundamental scientific theory.
