The day after we finished our study, on august 20 first, 19 71, there was a riot ata san quentin prison. A and a three weeks later, at adeca prison in new york, the prisoners, in sympathy with what they called the murder of george jackson, went on a hunger strike. And then realized that they had new power. Of the group, black spanics, neodaes, now together could take over the prison. They took over attica. So what that meant is, suddenly prisons were hot noos on the west coast, on the east coast. It gave us a lot of instant notoriety. I was also asked to testify
