The Importance of Jerusalem in International Politics
If the Pentateuch was like critics said, written after the exile, then why would you not mention Jerusalem anywhere in the first five books of Moses? That's a glaring omission. So we have David's son, who is the son of God through the covenant. We have that coming to him through the anointing that makes him the Christ, the Messiah. Thirdly, we have Jerusalem being made the center in an entirely new way, Mount Zion in particular. Fourth thing is the temple because Jerusalem is more than just David's political capital.
