Laurie and amy were on their honeymoon in Val rosa, Italy. They went for a walk to see the beautiful flowers that bloomed there every summer. The two never quarrelled but Amy had an opinion of Laurie which he could not change. She gave him three pale pink roses as a peace offering when they got home. He returned with his thumb in his mouth after trying to capture a solitary scarlet flower.
