What Happened to Be the Scriptural Block Reading for the Sabbath?

It was his custom to go to church, to the synagogue on the Sabbath day. And so if I want to be more like him, I'm probably going to want to follow that example. The way synagogues were laid out, we have a depiction here. People would be invited to read from the scriptures and then it is your job to expound or interpret what you have read.
