i remember as having a conversation about that, like, many, many years ago. That took away too long to sink in, i think for me. I was young enough and stupid enough that i still, probably the voice in the back of my head, embarrassingly, was like, wellbut i mean, i could be richard yates. But it took me a long time to even ask that question of myself,. Like, what is it that i actually have to say, or what do i care about that is different from just, like, the stream of literature?
