It's so easy when it's a video game to disassociate. Video games don't make people more violent, but what they do is condition you and make it easier for you to pull the trigger. In one Call of Duty there's a scene where you play a child as your city in Syria is literally getting gassed. You're playing as the child running away from the Russian gas as they sent chemical weapons. It's going to have an effect on you.
