There is a monster in the film, but I think that's pretty much shown in the trailer. The kids wake up, like their dad puts them to bed, and then they wake up, they can't find the dad,. They go downstairs, watch some TV, and then like, you know, the windows and the doors, they all start disappearing. And if you look at it like that, it's really depressing. It never even reaches that point that these kids think they have a chance because there are no parents or anything for the majority of the film. "It's just too artsy for me," he says.
