Is Ireland Undervalued?
If Ireland had its own exchange rates, the central bank would have to raise interest rates. A rapidly rising punt would mean that ireland is very expensive and multinationals wouldn't want to invest in a country like this. But without monitary policy, you can't put on the brakes - we've been obsessed by bringing levels of unemployment down because we've tram up the eighties.
