The Science Fiction of Junk Space
I think one of the things I really enjoy about this essay is that you can although it pertains to the present. It's picking out from the world the moments of most of the most acute realisation of a non-existent future and combining them into an entire world of junk space. He says unwittingly all architects may be working on the same building which is kind of rather delicious idea but sort of spurious. They're all going to link up there's this Jameson phrase about shopping as kind of toxic moss spreading across the planet. We now like fly around the world and experience the random thing picked out by TripAdvisor on a cat-a-sun snowballing effect.
