Are You an Actor?

i feel like an actor is always going to be an actor. Even if someone decides to leave the industry, and they go and do something else with their life, it doesn't mean they're not an actor. It's just same thing as, like i was, i was a singer all through school. I got a scholarship to go and study jab's voice, you know, i did it for one year, got bored, decided i didn't want to study that. Does that mean that i'm not a singer any more?
