The Importance of Mentoring

There are things that you can absolutely do on your own. But for those things that are not so easy to measure like communication or how effective you can be working in a team, I really think that you need some sort of either peer or mentor or some other person to work with. Thanks to the internet, it's never been easier to get this kind of help for any field. It almost feels like there's maybe a little bit of backlash happening in the developer community where people feel if they don't put in 60 hours at work then they're doing something wrong.
