A Tap for Caribbean Children

The main problem really was that those children were misunderstood. There had been no preparation done in english schools for receiving children from the caribbean or from the indians sub continent. At the time, ic tests were used widely in british education. But guston and others argued that these tests were unfair as they included unfamiliar concepts and even language. They would have images of different things, and one of those images would be a tap. And he child would say, it's a pipe. So the idea of a tap for caribbean children was what odo to somebody on their head or on their back, or something to gain their attention.
