The us. State department has ordered the departure of eligible family members from its embassy staff in kiev. Britain's foreign office is withdrawing some staff and dependents from its embassy in ukraine as a response to what it said was the growing threat from russia. The united states has delivered 90 tons of what it calls lethal aid to ukraine. Civilians from all walks of life get together, mostly on the week end and train in the woods outside kief. But not everyone agrees that a negotiated settlement is preferable to war.
