Ad Blocking Extensions - What Are They and How Do They Work?

A security company, Sec Consult now took a look at some of the parental control software that is being sold or offered for these devices. CrowdStrike is reporting that they are seeing attacks that actively bypass some of the mitigation techniques that users put in place to protect their children from malicious advertisements. Now this vulnerability is of course patched now and these bypasses do not affect patched systems but if you remember when this vulnerability first became known before the patch was released there was a little bit of cat and mouse game where attackers came up with ways to bypass them.
