The Velvet Underground's European Son
European Son is an experiment that only sort of works. John Cale plays bass here and he goes nuts in the background. I'm amazed their arms didn't fall off while they were playing. It's definitely got energy and I like that, but truthfully, there isn't a ton of substance here. This is groundbreaking art that nobody needs to listen to today.
