The Importance of Love Taps

Larson took an errand pass from Cullen and beautifully skated off balance to the net where he released the puck right toward the gap between Lenny's feet. The shot somehow missed when off the post but Larson did not miss Lenny right in the chest. I thought for a second I could hear it. Foul! I called. Two minutes man. Maybe that was an acceptable trade by the rules but it was meant as an insult. Whatever good feeling we'd had a half hour before and faded. We were tired out of breath and now it felt like we had something to prove...it took all the fun away.
