The US and Saudi Arabia in the Saudi-Israeli Nuclear Deal
China and Iran had the most agency in this deal because Iran had been wishing to normalize relations with Saudi for much longer than the two years. But Saudi Arabia have been made the biggest bet, the biggest wager, because at risk its relationship was the United States. And more than an expression of trust in China, it's just lack of confidence in the US being able to pay attention to this region.
