Is It Hard for Artists to Get Hits?

I guess even successful artists put out a lot of tracks, and then only a few of them become very few lasting. How does that feel for artists? I think it's hard, because you're putting in your creative energy to every song. You don't really have control over that. All you can do is say, o k, i gave it my best shot. Here you go. What do you think? And put yourself out there. Then sometimes they're just going to shit on it. Sometimes something resonates and catches on and is just like, goes from there....
