The History of Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Tuberculosis is the 13th leading cause of death globally to this day. Waverly Hills Sanatorium was closed in June 1961 as Streptomycin was developed in 1943 and became the main treatment for tuberculosis, making sanatoriums essentially obsolete.
