Desert Storm - The Worst War We Ever Won

We fought this war specifically as a war of deterrence. America was hert of stepping on to the world stage as the only super power left. We thought that if we said, listen, if you mess with america on the battlefield, we will smash you into atoms. What we didn't realize was what we were teaching all our future competitors: don't go anywhere near the battlefield, find alternative means. And so i think i take away a little bit differently the recent history, only only because i see it mores a as a continuum.
