The economy was a disaster with record high inflation and in fact in a stealth recession the Democrats are calling a lot of these Republican candidates election deniers well their recession deniers. The Republicans were expected to get control of the house it looks like that they will end up taking the house of representatives but by a much smaller margin than anyone expected. I want to move on though and talk about the midterm elections because like a lot of other people I call that completely wrong I expected the Republicans to do much better than they ended up doing.
