The Life and Times of Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler's early life was in some ways completely unremarkable. At the age of 16 he would leave school without earning a degree. In 1907 his mother would pass away and he would also be rejected by the Viennese Academy of the Arts. During this period he seems to have been able to live frugally and without great hardship. He had a strong hatred for Marxism and socialism which during this period was best embodied by the social democratic movement, as well as being an anti-Semite.
